12 new chapters, 365 new chances.

First and foremost, I am sorry I’ve been so MIA. It has been rather crazy for me lately with the holidays and having been sick for almost three weeks…but good news is, I’m back!!

As the new year is upon us I realized how much I have grown this past year; how much growth has actually taken place in my life overall. This blog has been a BIG part of that. It was a year of firsts for me and I am just realizing how much things have changed. A lot can happen in a year.

First, I changed careers entirely. It has made me grow in new and unexpected ways. I’ve met some of the most amazing people doing so and have learned an entirely different field. I also moved into a new apartment, a bigger apartment for me and my son. That made me so happy to be able to do so.

Anthony, my son, turned 6 and started kindergarten! Perhaps one of the most important things and long term goals of mine.. I started this blog. A way for me to publish my thoughts, my writing and share my life with all of you! I want to thank each of you for always tuning in, for your sweet and supportive comments. This has always been a dream of mine and I promised myself I would focus more on it in 2018! It will be challenging but I am ready for it!

I think people are obsessed with New Years because it represents a ‘do over’. A fierce reminder that there are always endless opportunities. That we all have the same 365 days to be great and get our shit together. It’s refreshing. I like that. Here’s to an amazing year ahead, let’s make it great!

PS. As cliché as it sounds what are your new years resolutions? Have you started them? What are your hopes and aspirations for this new year?

  1. We all look forward to the New Year. Perhaps, like you said, it’s an internal do over! For me, this year, I hope to finally begin a career in which I find passion and motivation. After doing the same thing for 10 years, I feel like I need a new challenge. I’m up for almost anything! New Year, Same me with better choices, better opportunities and a better life! ♥️

    • Absolutely!! I always want to find new ways to challenge myself so that I can grow and be happy! Cheers to a New Year with endless possibilities!

  2. I love this, I guess because this year instead of seeing it as a do over I am taking it as how can I be better? What can I do to close the year better than I entered? Better for me and Sarah. To be the mommy she needs and to be the best I can at it and to cherish the moment more.
